Lake Charles Police are investigating a shooting.  The incident happened Monday afternoon in the 1600 block of Mill Street.  One victim, who has yet to be identified, is in critical condition at a local hospital.  No word on the shooter or motive as the investigation continues.

Officials with the Calcasieu Sheriff’s Office along with the Coast Guard have been searching the waters near the I-10 beach in Lake Charles after receiving reports from witnesses of a possible drowning last night.  Three people reported seeing a person go under and not resurface.  The search is continuing this morning.

An accident in Ragley has left an infant dead.  Beauregard Sheriff’s officials say the incident happened when a male guardian was leaving a home on Doe Road, and did not notice the child had slipped out of the house.  the man ran over the baby causing fatal injuries.
